Ajay Devgn is no stranger to the world of the supernatural. Having delivered memorable performances in films like Bhoot (2003), Kaal (2005), and more recently in the 2024 hit Shaitaan, he is ready to dive back into the horror genre. However, his latest project with director Rohit Jugraj promises a twist that has fans talking. Ajay will be reportedly stepping into a character with grey shades. The upcoming film marks a return for the actor. According to sources, it has been nearly 21 years since Ajay played a dark character in a horror setting, with his last such role being in Kaal. A source shared with Midday, “Almost 21 years after that horror film, Ajay will play a dark character again in Rohit’s movie. Set in London, the story will have the superstar essaying a brooding and intense character with supernatural powers.
The film will also see Ajay sporting a unique look to suit his role. Because of the requirements of the character, he is focused on wrapping up his current commitments before shifting gears. At the moment, he is busy filming Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 5 in Mumbai alongside a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, and Shreyas Talpade. This project is expected to keep him busy until May.

After the completion of Golmaal 5, June will be dedicated to patch shoots for Drishyam 3. Only after these projects are cleared will Ajay begin his journey into Rohit Jugraj’s supernatural world in July. The source added that Jugraj has already started pre-production, with plans to wrap the shoot by the final quarter of 2026.
This project reunites Ajay with Rohit, who previously worked as an assistant to Ram Gopal Varma on the 2003 film Bhoot. Rohit Jugraj is known for directing projects like the Sardaar Ji franchise, Jatt James Bond, and the series Chamak.
