Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to bring one of his most ambitious projects to the big screen with Love & War. Starring three of Bollywood’s prominent actors, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, the romantic period drama has been generating unprecedented excitement ever since its announcement. With the film slated for a grand theatrical release next year, fans are eagerly awaiting the first glimpse through its teaser and trailer.
Adding to the anticipation, Vicky Kaushal was recently asked at an event about the much-awaited trailer.
And Vicky shared a witty reply. The actor said, “Even I’m waiting for the trailer.” Meanwhile, reports state that Vicky underwent an intense physical transformation for the film order to portray different stages of his character. As per Hindustan Times, he first gained nearly 12 kg and then dramatically lost around 15 kg for the film’s climax.
The makers have kept every aspect of Love & War under tight wraps, ensuring that no major details are revealed ahead of its release. With Bhansali’s signature style of immersive storytelling, breathtaking visuals, and grand cinematic scale, the film continues to be one of the most eagerly awaited releases in Indian cinema. A couple of months ago, Vicky opened up about the film during a conversation with Just Too Filmy and said that this collaboration is a dream come true for him.
The actor noted, “It’s on the bucket list of every actor to be a part of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. I’ve admired his films, I’ve admired him as a filmmaker… he is truly a unique voice from India,” he said. He further added, “He truly is a master of the craft of filmmaking. I genuinely feel blessed that in just ten years of my career I got to work with him.”
Love & War will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on January 21, 2027.
