Bhooth Bangla: Akshay Kumar Hurts Himself While Pulling Off High-octane Stunt

Bhooth Bangla is one of the most anticipated films of 2026. It marks the grand reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after 14 years. Backed by Balaji Motion Pictures, the film has sparked excitement amongst fans eager to relive the golden era of horror-comedy created by the iconic duo. The makers recently unveiled the film’s trailer, which took the internet by storm and significantly heightened anticipation.

The makers have now dropped a behind-the-scenes video from Bhooth Bangla. The video shows Akshay Kumar performing a high-octane stunt where he executes a dramatic jump kick mid-air. However, while landing, he loses balance and falls, hurting himself in the process. Fans have been impressed with the risks Akshay took to complete the shot.

Akshay Kumar also recently shared that he opposes the use of VFX and AI as it takes away the real thrill of action, making it feel artificial. He shared his preference for performing real stunts instead of relying on VFX or AI. He thinks performing his own stunts will allow his audiences to truly feel the effort and authenticity behind the scenes.

In the recently released trailer, Akshay is determined to slay the notorious Vadhusur while lifting off a curse from the otherwise peaceful city of Mangalpur. He decides to get married in the city, only to be warned by Asrani that the city is cursed. No marriages happen in Mangalpur due to Vadhusur’s clutches.

The trailer launch, which happened in Mumbai, was attended by the entire team. They promised a power packed comedy entertainer. The team addressed the reunions while opening up on the kind of work that went on to create the movie. Akshay shared his thoughts with fans and media alike, while Priyadarshan opened up about the film living up to his expectations as an artiste.
