Kamakshi Bhaskarla, known for her gripping performances in the Maa Oori Polimera franchise, is awaiting the release of Dacoit. With her proven track record of portraying sensible characters, her presence in the April 10th release assumes significance.

‘Anurag Kashyap Sir Was All Praises for Me’
Kamakshi Bhaskarla shares scenes with Anurag Kashyap, who plays an aggressive cop. “Anurag Sir and I were the first to start shooting for Dacoit. We both struggled with language barriers to begin with. Although I know Hindi, since I don’t think in that language, I was getting stuck. He helped me with dialogue delivery. And, in turn, I assisted him with Telugu. Our first scene itself was emotional. Throughout the day, he kept praising my acting chops after looking at the monitor,” Kamakshi reveals with a hint of joy. Since she has admired his storytelling and works like Sacred Games, the appreciation is something she will cherish for a long time.
What kind of conversations did she have with the reputed filmmaker? “Anurag Sir doesn’t talk much on sets. He briefly spoke to me about Bad Girl, which hadn’t been released at that time. We also discussed a short film he was doing at that time,” Kamakshi reveals, adding that he doesn’t bring his directorial persona when he is acting. “He is open to new concepts and experiences,” she analyses. “As an actor, he surrenders, although he has a hundred ways of doing something in mind,” the 12A Railway Colony actress says. She shares an instance where Anurag’s perspective helped her bring out a particular emotion.

‘Mrunal Thakur Is Inspiring’
Her time with Mrunal Thakur was affable, despite only sharing the set for two days. The heroine complimented Kamakshi’s ‘beautiful eyes’ during their scenes. The Hi Nanna actress also told Kamakshi she possessed ‘immense potential.’ Deeply moved, Kamakshi thanked Mrunal for her staying power, citing her as a major source of inspiration for aspiring actors.
