
April might be coming to an end, but this does not mean the hype surrounding Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which was released in March 2026, has died down even a little. Cinemaholics have praised the film for its well-crafted plot, unexpected twists, and fitting background scores. However, the biggest highlight of the Ranveer Singh starrer was its high-octane action sequences and explosive set pieces.
Now, during a recent podcast appearance with Hindi Rush, Dhurandhar 2’s SFX supervisor, Vishal Tyagi, revealed that all the explosions in the film were real. This includes the massive climax sequence featuring Ranveer Singh and Arjun Rampal, which took about 500 litres of petrol to create.

During his appearance on the podcast, Durandhur’s SFX supervisor, Vishal Tyagi, opened up about how he is usually tasked with creating smaller explosions. He said that these are later enhanced with the help of CGI. However, when it comes to Dhudhandar, the same approach was not followed. According to him, Aditya Dhar explicitly stated that he did not want to use CGI, especially for the explosions.
