Former child actor Blake Garrett’s cause of death has been officially confirmed nearly five months after his death. He was best known for his role in How to Eat Fried Worms, and died on February 8, 2026, at the age of 33. A newly released medical examiner’s report has now answered some questions about his death. In fact, it has supported his family’s doubts that Blake had an accidental overdose.

According to the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Blake Garrett died from acute fentanyl toxicity. In turn, the manner of his death has been ruled an accident. The findings have been released after several months of his death.
