NBC’s Today morning show lately saw a security breach on July 16, 2026. An unauthorized intruder snuck into the show, which saw a security breach. No one was harmed, but Al Roker and Craig Melvin were targeted. The intruder had entered the restricted area and was trying to find longtime weather anchor Al Roker. When the host was nowhere to be found, he used racist slurs on Craig Melvin.
Today show intruder has been arrested, and no criminal charges have been filed as of now
The intruder had snuck into the set of the Today show and lunged at Craig Melvin. He shouted racist slurs at Melvin and then was arrested by the New York Police Department. In a statement to the Hollywood Reporter, the official cops mentioned what exactly took place on the sets and said:
“At approximately 9:19 hours, it was reported to officers that there was a disorderly person inside 30 Rockefeller Center, within the confines of the Midtown North Precinct.”
