According to social media reports, the man who breached security and wanted to target Al Roker is none other than Andrew Truelove. Truelove was immediately taken into police custody.

According to multiple law enforcement sources, Andrew Truelove is a white man who was born in 1985. He has a lot of pending criminal cases in New York courts against his name. Andrew was unarmed when he had brushed past security to enter the NBC sets via a stairwell.
Andrew wanted to harm Al Roker, but luck was not on his side, as the veteran weather host was not found in the backstage room. Andrew shouted a racist slur at Craig before he was detained.
