Back in January 2026, Matthew’s ex-wife, Heather, sued Kyrsten in the Tar Heel State, according to the ‘homewrecker laws’, which allow an individual to sue their ex-partner’s paramours.
In March, The Post reported that Heather was seeking USD 25K in damages, while recently PEOPLE reported that she sought USD 75K in damages, calling her ex-husband an ‘established liar and manipulator’ and accusing Kyrsten Sinema of breaking her marriage. Kyrsten didn’t deny having an affair with her then-married bodyguard but argued that since the affair didn’t happen anywhere in Northern California, she shouldn’t be sued under the state’s homewrecker laws.
