Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, have been in the headlines for months amid rumours of their troubled marriage. The speculations intensified when Sunita openly criticised her husband for his alleged infidelity amid his link-up with a starlet named Komal Rani Swarnakar. However, recent updates suggest that Sunita withdrew her divorce filing against Govinda. Amid that, her comments regarding their separate living arrangement have come under focus.
Sunita Ahuja revealed that Govinda’s lifestyle made it difficult for them to live together
Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja filed for divorce from him in the Bandra Family Court in December 2024, citing the reasons of adultery, cruelty, and desertion under the Hindu Marriage Act. As of August 2026, the case may have been withdrawn, but issues between the duo reportedly persist. After the divorce filing, Sunita sat for several interviews, citing the cracks in her marriage, which ultimately led her to decide to split.
During a conversation with Hindi Rush, Sunita revealed that she and her husband mostly lived separately. Detailing their living arrangements, she stated that they have two houses, their flat and a bungalow. Sunita mentioned that, given the nature of Govinda’s work, he often got home late, and even after that, he still wanted to be around a lot of people and have candid chats with them.
