On Sunday evening, Rashmika Mandanna made her first public appearance following a painful hip injury that forced her to take weeks of rest. The actress attended a high-profile engagement ceremony in Hyderabad alongside her husband, actor Vijay Deverakonda. The duo is currently part of Ranabaali, marking their first project together after their marriage.
Rashmika sustained a detached tendon in her right hip while filming an intense dance sequence for her upcoming project Mysaa. The injury forced her to temporarily step away from work and focus on her recovery at home. Her first public appearance since the setback suggested that the actress is gradually getting back to her routine.
At the event, Vijay stayed by her side as the couple walked into the venue together. Fans online welcomed Rashmika’s return to the public eye following her recovery period, though she appeared to have a subtle limp, indicating that her healing process is still underway.
Earlier this month, Rashmika opened up about the injury and explained that, despite the tendon detachment, the pain was bearable. “There are four tendons on each side of your hip that connects your hip to your leg and one of those tendons on my right hip apparently had detached and that has to attach again, for me to be able to lift my leg up and stuff… My god that’s the most aggressive film (Mysaa) I have ever done for sure!” she wrote.

She further reflected on the unexpected break, adding, “I feel like this is God saying you will never take a break if it’s left to you, so here… let me do it for you! You know all these injuries I have had are random af—freak accidents. What are the odds.”
Rashmika will next be seen in Mysaa, a female-led film slated for release later this year.
Meanwhile, Ranabaali, which marks her collaboration with Vijay Deverakonda, has been postponed from its earlier September 11 release date.
