British film, television, and stage actor Tim Curry has left the entertainment industry in a state of mourning after his death. He was 80 years old when he took his last breath. Reports revealed that Tim died on August 25, 2026, at his home in Los Angeles. Before his death, Tim opened up about the loss of his mother and sister within a short period of time.

Tim Curry went through quite a difficult time after he lost both his mother and his sister one after the other. In his 2025 memoir titled Vagabond, Tim revealed that his mom, Patricia Curry, died from Melanoma in the summer of 1999. At that time, she was 80 years old, an age that Tim said she always wanted to live to. Recalling how he would take care of her, Tim said:
“My mother had always said that she wanted to live to be eighty. And she was nothing if not determined. So of course she did make it to eighty – and that was her exact age when she died, due to melanoma. I tried to help take care of her whenever I could, but she did not want me to be her nurse, nor was I particularly eager to fill that role.”
