Lucy Letby’s doctor boyfriend’s identity has been revealed for the first time after his death earlier in 2026. His name is Dr Mark Deakin, who was a married father of two children. He was sacked for exchanging texts with the baby killer Lucie.

Dr Mark Deakin was a consultant pediatrician who worked with Letby at the Countess of Chester Hospital. During that time, Lucy was convicted of murdering reportedly seven babies and had attempted to murder seven more babies.
Dr Mark, at the age of 53, reportedly collapsed inside his car after he was dismissed from Alder Hey Children’s Hospital located in Liverpool. He reportedly died on July 3, 2026, and was also admitted to intensive care. During Lucy’s trial, his identity was protected as restrictions were imposed. Now, after the doctor’s demise, those restrictions have been lifted.
