The trailer of the upcoming Malayalam film It’s A Medical Miracle has been unveiled, offering a glimpse into a curious story that blends drama, humour and an unusual superpower. Headlined by Sangeeth Prathap and Sharaf U Dheen, the film marks the directorial debut of Shyamin Gireesh and is scheduled to release in theatres on September 18.
The trailer introduces Sangeeth Prathap’s character, whose life takes an unexpected turn after he is involved in an accident and slips into a coma. When he eventually regains consciousness, he discovers that the ordeal has left him with an extraordinary ability: super-hearing. What initially appears to be a miraculous development soon seems to bring its own complications, as the character finds himself navigating a world where he can hear far more than an ordinary person.
The film reunites director Shyamin Gireesh with writer Nileen Sandra, following their collaboration on the Karikku-backed mini-series Samarthya Shastram. A strange new ability changes everything
Alongside Sangeeth Prathap’s character is Sharaf U Dheen, whose role appears to be closely connected to the events unfolding around the protagonist. The trailer also introduces Kottayam Nazeer as a politician who crosses paths with Sangeeth’s character, hinting at another layer to the story.

It’s A Medical Miracle has also brought together an interesting technical crew. Mujeeb Majeed has composed the music, while Akhil Xavier has handled cinematography. Rakesh Cherumadam serves as the editor and Appunni Sajan is the art director. The action choreography is credited to Sravan Sathya and Mahesh Mathew.
The film is backed by Dr Paul Varghese under Dr Paul’s Entertainment, with Sujith J Nair producing under the Dream Big Films banner. For Shyamin Gireesh, the project represents his first feature as a director after his work on Samarthya Shastram, while the association with writer Nileen Sandra gives the film a creative connection to their earlier collaboration.
With its premise revolving around a man who wakes from a coma with an extraordinary sensory ability, It’s A Medical Miracle brings a distinctly unconventional hook to the Malayalam film landscape.
