Akshay Kumars Tribute To Late Asrani Ahead Of Bhooth Bangla Release Is Worth-Reading

Ahead of Bhooth Bangla’s release, Akshay Kumar took to social media to share a special tribute to the late veteran actor Asrani, calling the film a salute to the comedy legend’s enduring legacy. Taking to his Instagram, Akshay shared a picture from the sets of Bhooth Bangla, capturing a quiet moment between himself and the veteran actor. Talking about their long-standing professional and personal relationship, Akshay mentioned that the film marks his second-last collaboration with the late actor.

Akshay wrote, “Kabhi kabhi ek tasveer sirf yaadon ka tukda nahi hoti… ek poori journey ko samet leti hai. (Sometimes a picture is not just a piece of memories… it captures an entire journey).”

He revealed that across a span of 12 films together, working with Asrani was never just a job but also a learning. “Har ek mein maine unse kuch naya seekha… it was like a masterclass every single time. Comedy itni aasaan lagti thi jab woh karte the, lekin asal mein woh ek mushkil kala hai. Asrani ji uske ustad the aur hamesha rahenge,” he added, praising Asrani’s effortless mastery over the difficult craft of comedy.

For Akshay, Bhooth Bangla is not just another addition to his filmography but also a farewell to a friend who left a huge void in the industry. He ended his note on an emotional high, saying, “Bhooth Bangla kal release ho rahi hai… mere liye yeh sirf ek film nahi, ek yaad hai… ek tribute hai… ek salute hai uss legend ko Asrani ji, aap hamesha yaad aayenge. (Bhooth Bangla is releasing tomorrow… for me, this is not just a film, it is a memory… a tribute… a salute to that legend. Asrani ji, you will always be remembered )”

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla marks a reunion between the director and Akshay Kumar after 14 years. Bhooth Bangla gears up for its paid previews on 16th April starting from 9 pm, followed by its full theatrical release on 17th April.
