Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan made their Bollywood debuts together along with Sidharth Malhotra in Student of the Year. Ever since, Alia and Varun have gone on to collaborate on films such as Kalank, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Their chemistry on-screen and friendship off-screen are a huge hit among their fans. Their last film together, Kalank came out in 2019 and people have been waiting for their on-screen reunion ever since.
Now, at an event, Alia expressed that she wants to collaborate with Varun once again. She held an exclusive meet and greet event with fans in the city on Sunday. During the interaction, one fan asked her about Dulhania 3 and an excited Alia responded by saying, “Haan, par script honi chahiye na. (Yes, but there has to be a script)”.
Her fans then told her that they will make one, to which Alia laughed and said, “That’s a great idea! It would be the first of its kind. Why don’t you all come together and write a script? It will be amazing!” This news has sure left VaRia fans excited.
Meanwhile, a couple of years back, Karan Johar spoke about making the third instalment of the Dulhania franchise. He said in an interview in 2023, “I don’t know how to plan these things. We do want to make the third Dulhania film and I hope we will at some point. It’s a love story franchise that actually doesn’t exist. It’s only us that made it. Humpty, Badri and now we are looking forward to making another Dulhania film.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia Bhatt is gearing up for her film Alpha with Sharvari. The YRF actioner will see the actresses playing spies. She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War in the pipeline with Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor.
Varun Dhawan, on the other hand, will be seen in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Border 2.
