The highly anticipated collaboration between Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun and Jawan director Atlee could potentially encounter a significant roadblock. The film’s shooting schedule may come to a standstill, a development not entirely unexpected given the geopolitical situation in the Middle East. This comes weeks after Jr NTR’s Dragon had to cut short its international schedule in Jordan due to the West Asia crisis, and now it appears to be the turn of AA22.
Originally slated for a filming phase in Dubai in April, the yet-to-be-titled project is currently on hold. Global political instability and rising friction involving Iran have rendered the chosen territory unsafe for the crew. This change comes after months of steady progress, with much of the movie already filmed within custom-built environments in Mumbai. The director had envisioned a pivotal stunt sequence for the Dubai leg of the production. The producers must now decide whether to pause until the atmosphere calms down or find an alternative country to host the remaining shoot.

Sai Abhyankar is composing the soundtrack for the film. Co-starring Deepika Padukone, the movie aims to be a massive pan-Indian spectacle.
