Aviva grew up in Mumbai, whereas Daniel was raised in Maryland, and the duo now live in New York. The duo’s Indian-Korean wedding began with a paebaek ceremony. It is a Korean ceremony in which the couple bows to their elders, serves them tea, and receives blessings in return. For the ceremony, Daniel chose a hanbok look. He also carried a stole made from his grandmother’s hanbok, along with his grandfather’s vintage Korean watch.
