Recently, Dolly was laid to rest and her niece, Lainey Mae Parton, shared an emotional Instagram note, confirming details about her funeral.

On August 29, 2026, Dolly’s niece penned a heartfelt emotional note on Instagram and confirmed that her aunt was laid to rest. She shared that it was hard to share her inner thoughts and she wanted to wait until her ‘granny’ was laid to rest. She started the note by remembering Dolly, and how she always made her feel like she was enough from a young age.
