A double-booked wedding venue and two strong personalities who will go to any lengths to make their loved ones’ special day a success. What could go wrong? That’s the crux of You’re Cordially Invited, a comedy starring Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell. Apart from sharing an undeniable onscreen chemistry, the two also served as producers on the project. In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Reese and Will considered starring in a Bollywood film.
Opening up about the possibility of crossing over to Bollywood, Reese quipped, “I’d be desperate to star in a Bollywood movie. Hire me, whoever is out there. I will do it.”
Will chimed in, “Hire us both.” Reese continued, “He’s so musical and such a great dancer. We dance well together as well. We choreographed the Islands in the Stream music number at the end of the movie by ourselves.”
Will Ferrell recalled being invited to a desi wedding. “I was once at a hotel in the Phoenix or Scottsdale area and there was an Indian wedding going on there. It went on for three days and there were hundreds of people there. I was told just come, nobody will know you’re here. Indian weddings are super large, right? Around five hundred people coming together,” he shared.
