Netflix’s new teen drama, Final Project, is somehow expected to bring back the disturbing memories of what happened to ‘Hannah’ in 13 Reasons Why. Scrolling past a cruel comment takes two seconds. Living with it takes much longer. Final Project knows that, and builds a whole thriller around it.
The show ditches glitter and gossip for something uglier and more familiar: anonymous accounts, viral rumours, and a school where anyone’s reputation can be deleted overnight. At the centre is a student who just wanted to disappear and ends up being the main target. It’s tense and uneven. Final Project argues that the most dangerous fights today don’t happen in hallways: they happen on the phone.
