Bollywood actor Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha has denied reports regarding the actor’s alleged marriage plans. The clarification follows claims made by the actor’s wife Sunita Ahuja.
“There is nothing like this, nor will it happen. There is no second marriage happening. She is his wife, and there must be something going on in her mind that she made those claims,” the manager told India Today.
Wife withdraws divorce petition
Sunita recently withdrew her divorce petition in a Mumbai family court. She claimed she dropped the legal case because Govinda was planning to marry actor Komal Rani Swarnkar. The manager firmly rejected these claims, stating there is no second marriage happening.
Sinha added that Govinda has never spoken against Sunita publicly. He criticized her for airing private family matters in the media instead of resolving them quietly. “They are both mature people, and while Govinda has never spoken a word against Sunita in public, she has been the one washing dirty linen out. I am sure they both want the best for themselves and their children,” the manager added.
Recent tensions following Sunita’s ‘sugar daddy’ comment
Tensions escalated recently after Govinda and Komal were spotted together at an airport. Following the sighting, Sunita made public comments referring to Govinda as Komal’s sugar daddy. She originally filed for divorce two years ago citing multiple issues and officially submitted her withdrawal request at the Bandra Family Court on August 19.
Govinda and Sunita, who have been married since 1987 and have two children, Tina and Yashvardhan, have faced repeated speculation about their relationship over the past two years. In 2025, Govinda spoke to Times Of India and revealed that there was no truth to the divorce rumours and he was on the verge of starting a new film. In the past, Sunita has confirmed that she was living in a separate home with their children.
