The actress has registered the complaint under varied sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. It included 498-A (cruelty), 323 (causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intention).

Muskan had registered the complaint at Ambolice police station in Mumbai and alleged that Hansika and her mother had interfered in her marriage, which caused a strain on Muskan’s relationship with her husband. She also claimed that her in-laws always demanded luxurious gifts and cash and also used to engage in fraudulent activities related to property matters.
