For the unversed, Jon and Anna tied the knot just a few years ago, on June 24, 2023. Many might not be aware, but John had previously admitted that he was not in love with the idea of marriage. He also claimed that he was terrified when proposing to Anna.

During an interview, John Hamm opened up about how he previously thought marriage was “meaningless” to him. He blamed his parents’ divorce for his outlook, revealing that once they separated, they never thought of remarrying. This also led him to never have “a particularly defined example of marriage” in his life. John stated:
“My parents got divorced when I was two and never remarried. So, it doesn’t mean anything to me. I don’t mean to say that it shouldn’t mean things to other people. I’m not judging it one way or another. It’s just my experience. I don’t have that paragon of married life to look at and think, ‘Oh yeah, that’s it! That’s what I want!'”
