Kareena Kapoor Khan dropped a charming black-and-white photograph to extend her birthday wishes to Sara Ali Khan on the latter’s 31st birthday today. The picture featured Kareena alongside her husband, Saif Ali Khan, and his children, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Sara.
With the picture, Bebo wrote an adorable birthday message that read: “Happy birthday, Sara darling …to more pumpkin sabzi and now yoghurts. May your plate always be full…” She also tagged Sara’s official Instagram account.

Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Saif Ali Khan and his first wife, actress Amrita Singh, shares an affectionate relationship with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif’s second wife. Saif and Amrita, who also have a son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, got divorced in 2004. Following their separation, Sara and Ibrahim primarily live with their mother.
Saif later married Kareena Kapoor in 2012, and the couple welcomed two sons, Taimur and Jehangir Ali Khan. Despite all the ups and downs in the family, Sara and Kareena developed a close bond over the years.
Sara has previously opened up about her equation with Kareena, she described her as more than a friend rather than calling her as a “second mother” or “stepmother.” Kareena, too, has spoken candidly about their relationship and said that she has never attempted to take on a motherly role in Sara and Ibrahim’s lives.
On the work front of Sara Ali Khan, she is gearing up for her next film, Udta Teer in which she is paired opposite actor Ayushmann Khurrana. The film will be released theatrically on October 9.
Meanwhile on Kareena’s professional front, she will be seen in Daayra opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran which will be released in theatres on September 18.
