Khushi Kapoor may have found love again, this time with someone she has known since childhood. According to a report by Bombay Times, the actor has reportedly rekindled her relationship with her childhood sweetheart, Aakash Mehta. The two are said to have dated before Khushi made her acting debut.
Khushi later entered a relationship with her The Archies co-star Vedang Raina. The duo, who had reportedly been dating for around two years, are said to have parted ways earlier this year. The breakup reportedly came around New Year and left Khushi deeply affected.
A source told Bombay Times, “Khushi was quite affected by the breakup with Vedang. It happened over the New Years and came as a surprise to Khushi. However, she is in a much better space now. She is happy with Aakash. She doesn’t want to date another actor.”
The source further claimed that Khushi took some time to move on after her split with Vedang. She is now said to be in a happier space with Aakash, marking a possible second chance at their childhood romance.
In an earlier interview, Khushi Kapoor opened up about the complexities of modern dating, pointing out how the emergence of new terms and undefined grey areas can make relationships difficult to navigate. She also revealed that people often fail to establish clear boundaries. Describing herself as straightforward yet shy, Khushi admitted that she can hesitate when it comes to making the first move.
The dating buzz surrounding Khushi Kapoor and Aakash Mehta gained further momentum after it was noticed that several of Khushi’s close friends and family members follow Aakash on Instagram. The list reportedly includes Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Orry, Arjun Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Shikhar Pahariya and others.
On the work front, Khushi is currently preparing for her upcoming project, which is being described as a spiritual sequel to her mother Sridevi’s 2017 film Mom. Khushi made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies in 2023 and went on to feature in two films last year, Nadaaniyan and Loveyapa.
