35-year-old nurse from Duxbury, Massachusetts, Lindsay Clancy, hit the headlines for a horrific incident that took place back in 2023. Lindsay Clancy is believed to have committed a brutal crime of killing her kids. She has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and pleaded not guilty in the deaths of her children: 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan.
During a trial in Massachusetts earlier, Lindsay’s ex-husband and the father of their three late kids revealed how, a week before allegedly killing her kids and attempting suicide, she heard a man directing her to take the lives of her kids, including hers. The three of Lindsay and Patrick’s kids were found dead in their family home’s basement, while the mom was found in the yard, paralysed from the waist down, as she jumped from the second-story window. Prosecutors believed that Lindsay Clancy was an intentional killer who pre-planned and sent her husband to pick up food and medicine, just before killing the kids.

On the other hand, Clancy’s attorneys don’t argue that she killed her kids, but mentioned that she shouldn’t be held criminally responsible, as she was mentally ill, suffering from bipolar disorder and postpartum psychosis. On Monday, i.e., August 10, 2026, Clancy’s psychiatrist, Dr Jennifer Tufts, returned to the court for cross-examination and was grilled by Clancy’s attorney, who not only questioned her about her experience but also argued that she failed to treat the 35-year-old mom.
