A day after Lamine Yamal hugged Lionel Messi the legendary footballer shared a note after losing the FIFA World Cup 2026
It was in 2007 when Lionel Messi, in a photoshoot, was seen hugging Lamine Yamal. 19 years later, Yamal faced him on the football court, defeated him, and the match was between two generational stars. Lamine had also given Messi a hug after the match. Now, a while back, Messi took to his social media handle to express his pain at Argentina team losing the match. His translated note read:
“The pain is immense, and it will take time for this wound to heal. But I also choose to hold on to all the good things … the matches we played, giving everything we had, will stay in our memories forever. With the support of an entire country, together with the hard work and effort of this group, we once again managed to be among the best teams in the world. Today it’s difficult to fully appreciate what we achieved, but this team reached two consecutive World Cup finals.”
