
The founding vocalist of the band Sick of It All and one of the well-known voices of New York Hardcore, Lou Koller, passed away at the age of 59. The singer’s death was confirmed by his bandmates. This year, Sick of It All would complete 40th years, having been founded by Lou and his brother, Pete Koller, in 1986.
Lou was born in Queens. The band Sick of It All initially released a 7-inch via Revelation Records in 1987, and later a full-length re-recorded version was again dropped for the band’s 1989 full-length debut, Blood, Sweat and No Tears. Lou Koller passed away at 59: The cause of his death and health issues
Lou Koller’s cause of death has not been officially revealed. However, he had a long battle with Adenocarcinoma cancer. It was in 2024 when Lou Koller had to pause his touring in the middle, and during this time, he revealed to his fans and followers that doctors had found a tumour in his oesophagus (the tube that carries food from the throat to the stomach).
