According to multiple reports, the Netflix documentary follows the high-profile Ohio criminal case involving Mackenzie. She was convicted of the double murder of her boyfriend, Dominic Russo and his friend, Davion Flanagan, when she was 17. Mackenzie and Dominic had a rocky 4-year relationship. For the unversed, on July 31, 2022, then 17-year-old Mackenzie Shirilla was driving home from a gathering with friends around 5:30 a.m along with her boyfriend, 20-year-old Dominic Russo and his friend, 19-year-old Davion Flanagan. However, at the time, Mackenzie’s Toyota Camry crashed into a brick wall in Strongsville, Ohio, at around 100 mph. Both Dominic and Davion died on the spot. After surviving the fatal crash, Mackenzie told police and others that she could not remember what happened.
