As buzz continues around Drishyam 3, producers Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak have revealed that Ajay Devgn’s Hindi adaptation will have a different treatment from Mohanlal’s Malayalam original. Speaking about their growing interest in Malayalam cinema, Kumar Mangat said, “When the lockdown started, we watched a lot of Malayalam films. We realised that the content there is very good. Different types of films are being made and appreciated there.”

The producer further shared that the team spent nearly one and a half years understanding the industry before stepping into Malayalam cinema. “After that, our entire team sat together and carried out research for one and a half years. We met people and writers. Then we planned everything and presented Panorama,” he said. Kumar Mangat also credited Mohanlal, Antony Perumbavoor and producer Jacob for helping the collaboration come together, while confirming that Panorama Studios already has several Malayalam projects lined up beyond Drishyam 3.
Talking about the Hindi version, Abhishek Pathak revealed that the makers are aiming for an October 2 release for Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3. “‘Drishyam 3 will be released on October 2. It is Drishyam Day, a date associated with the film. I think the Hindi version of the film will be released on that date. We are currently preparing for it. It is in post-production,” he said. He also hinted that audiences will notice major differences between the Malayalam and Hindi versions once the trailer arrives.

Explaining the changes further, Abhishek said, “The Malayalam version is more of a family drama. As Jeethu Joseph told us during the launch, the story is very good for the Malayalam audience, and they will like it.” He added, “Our Hindi audience has a different taste and palate. We made changes in Drishyam 2 as well, and the audience appreciated them. We have also made changes to the story and screenplay for this instalment, and the audience will notice the difference.”
