Jonathan Andic, the son of the late Mango founder, has been grabbing the headlines for all the wrong reasons. For those unaware, he had been arrested in Spain as part of the investigation into his father’s death back in 2024. Now, Jonathan is claiming that the accusations against him are untrue.
Jonathan Andic denies killing Mango founder as he steps down as Vice President
According to reports, Jonathan Andic has denied allegations that he was involved in his father, the late Mango founder’s death. He describes the accusations against him as “serious, unjust and unfounded.” Along with this, he also announced that he would step down as Vice President of the fashion giant’s board so that he could focus on his legal defence. In an open letter to the Mango employees on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Jonathan alleged that a “biased” and “distorted” narrative had been created around the case, leading to a false perception of guilt. This was especially true after he got arrested in Spain as part of the investigation into his father’s 2024 death. It is worth noting that this was his first comment on the case. Jonathan wrote:
“A public narrative has been created based on a view that is biased, distorted and taken out of context, which has created a perception of guilt that has nothing to do with reality. I know that dismantling it will take time, effort, and intense dedication… I make this decision sadly, but convinced that it is what’s best for the company and for me… I need to concentrate all my energy on demonstrating my innocence.”
