Apart from luxurious rooms and halls, Rashtrapati Bhavan also comprises the Gantantra Mandap, Ashoka Mandap, a copper-faced dome, Amrit Udyan, and a museum. For the uninitiated, the first Indian who lived in Rashtrapati Bhavan was C. Rajagopalachari, after he was sworn in as the Governor-General in 1948.
