MET Gala 2026 Kicks Off With Nicole Kidman Gigi Hadid and More Bringing High-fashion Drama

Fashion’s biggest night is finally here and it is shaping up to be a good one. MET Gala 2026 is currently underway at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Beyoncé, Venus Williams and Nicole Kidman co-chaired the event this year, which is celebrating the MET’s Costume Art exhibition. The attendees at the event are bringing their own twist to the dress code Fashion Is Art.

Nicole Kidman, Charlie XCX, Zoe Kravitz, Doja Cat, Gigi Hadid and more have already walked the red carpet. Nicole was seen wearing a custom crimson-red Chanel gown designed by Matthieu Blazy, featuring a sequined, drop-waisted column silhouette with feathered detailing on the sleeves and hips. Zoe Kravitz was seen in a gothic bride inspired Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello gown. Interestingly, she kept her hands in the pockets, reportedly to hide her new engagement ring. Doja Cat was seen in a custom nude-coloured, floor-grazing Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, while Gigi Hadid was seen in a naked dress by Miu Miu.

The other glamorous names include Venus Williams, Naomi Osaka and Emma Chamberlain, who brought their equal A-game to the event.
