Saif Ali Khan was brutally attacked on January 16 at his Bandra home. The actor suffered major injuries as a 2.5-inch knife was recovered from his spine. While the case on the attack was on, recent updates notify that the chargesheet for the same has exceeded 1000-pages. It also contains statements from over 70 eyewitnesses including Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The chargesheet also states that the accused tried to pass through the main gate but couldn’t get through. He climbed up the duct area and tried to get into the first floor from the back of Kareena and Saif’s building. As per a report from Mid-Day, the police were quoted saying, “Shariful climbed up to the 8th floor using the staircase and entered Saif Ali Khan’s flat. He was carrying a knife, a hacksaw blade, and a hammer in his bag. He attacked the caretaker, Eliyama Philip, with the knife and demanded Rs. 1 crore.”
The chargesheet also states that the accused attacked the caretaker first. However, Saif intervened and caught him from behind. Shariful, the accused, then attacked Saif without realizing who he is. While he wanted to rob the place, once he realized the gravity of the situation, he panicked and fled.
He fled to the National College bus stop, changed clothes and spent the night there. At 7 am, he walked to Bandra Talao area. He threw the knife and clothes there. He roamed in and around Bandra railway station for 20 minutes. He went to Dadar and fed himself. Then he went to his residence in Worli. Keep watching this space for all the updates on the case.
