Trump argued that by reporting the search for the pacemaker before the process even began, investigators may have inadvertently warned the abductors. He suggested this could lead them to take drastic measures, such as harming Nancy, to prevent the device from being detected. Trump called the particular move “crazy” and was unable to fathom why the FBI or Pima County authorities would decide on such a “strategy”.
