Three days have passed since NBC anchor Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, went missing from her home in Northern Tucson, Arizona, and the investigators still don’t know where she is. She was abducted from her residence between Saturday, January 31, 2026, and Sunday, February 1, 2026, as reported by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. And now, chilling new details have emerged, including traces of blood at Nancy’s house, along with a suspicious ransom note.
Investigators find blood in Nancy Guthrie’s house
On February 3, 2026 (ET), multiple outlets shared video evidence of what appears to be drops of blood on the front steps of Nancy Guthrie’s home, along with the remnants of an apparent Ring camera that has been removed from the front door area. While it remains unclear who the blood belongs to, the evidence, along with an alleged ransom note, has raised the stakes in the case. A reporter on CBS News shared:
“They did find a bit of blood inside the home. It’s still unclear whose blood it is. Then our cameras this afternoon captured what appears to be a small amount of blood outside the front door. The department is now aggressively following hundreds of leads in this case.”
