Late actress Smita Patil’s son, Prateik Babbar, married his long-time girlfriend, Priya Banerjee, on February 14, 2025. The couple had an intimate ceremony at Prateik’s late mom, Smita Patil’s Bandra residence. Ever since, the couple has been congratulated by their near and dear ones. However, fans noticed that Prateik’s dad, Raj Babbar, and his half-siblings- Aarya and Juhi Babbar were missing from the important occasion. Now, Prateik’s wife, Priya, has clarified the same.

Prateik and Priya were in a relationship for the longest time before they got married in the presence of their family and close friends. Their wedding was a celebration of culture, love and togetherness. They even shared dreamy snaps from their wedding ceremony that stunned their fans. During a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Priya spoke about Raj, Aarya and Juhi Babbar’s absence from the wedding. She revealed that all the important family members from the Babbar’s were present. In her words:
“There was absolutely no family member who was missing from the wedding or our celebrations. I don’t know why there are rumours that “family members” were absent. Our families where there including my parents, his aunts who raised him, his nana-nani and everyone who mattered and is family was with us. And there was absolutely nobody who is family was missing.”
