There is growing excitement on social media around the potential trailer release of the upcoming film, Ramayana. Fans are actively tracking news and sharing countdowns across platforms like X, Instagram and Reddit, as speculations mount regarding the unveiling of the film’s next major promotional asset.
While there has been no official confirmation from the filmmakers, rumours circulating on various social media handles suggest that the trailer could be released on July 18. This potential date has sparked discussions that the clip might be released just a week before the film’s rumoured release at Comic Con. The event is expected to take place later this month, between July 22 and July 26.

According to online reports, if the trailer is indeed released, it is expected to provide an extended look at the lead cast, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Some reports also claim that the clip may include an important sequence in the film, including the first meeting between Rama and Sita.
However, there are conflicting claims about the nature of the upcoming release. While posts on Climax India suggest the makers have selected July 18 for the trailer launch, another post on Bollywood Talkies has hinted that the upcoming clip might be a different promotional asset, similar to the Rama First Glimpse. This suggests the main trailer might instead be reserved for a release on Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday in September.
Ramayana is widely considered to be one of the most expensive films ever made in India. The production team behind this project features music by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer and Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman. The visual effects for the film are being handled by the Academy Award-winning studio DNEG.
Ramayana: Part 1 is currently slated for a Diwali 2026 release, with Ramayana: Part 2 to follow in Diwali 2027.
