Singer Nivea has recently revealed that she is undergoing treatment for Leukaemia and is positive about her recovery. There was a time in her life when, as a single mother, Nivea was raising four kids and got into drugs. Her cocaine addiction was so intense that there was a point when the Don’t Mess With My Man singer was about to lose custody of her kids.

Nivea has been battling with Leukaemia, and earlier on that note, the singer, with her friend, Kandi Burruss, had opened up about her past addiction to cocaine. It had started off when she got famous back in her 30s. Nivea was addicted to drugs to the extent that she was on the verge of losing her children. In her words:
“I’m so grateful I’m delivered. I remember so many times, scraping through my damn carpet to find crumbs. It was terrible. It was so bad. I never thought I would get over it. I never thought I would come out of it. I’m so grateful to God. I thought it was going to consume me and I was going to lose my babies.”
