Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is finally coming to the theatres. A release date of March 19, 2027, has already been locked, and viewers are eager to witness the next adventure of the blue hedgehog on the big screen. The mid-credits of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in 2024 was already hinting towards the arrival of more installments, and it was eventually confirmed by the end of the year. A majority of the crew members returned to their respective positions, including Jeff Fowler, who has been directing the films since the first entry in 2020.
Filming for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 has already started in March 2026. For the unversed, the franchise is based on a popular video game series of the same name. Apart from three feature films, the franchise also includes a miniseries, titled Knuckles, who was introduced in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in 2022. Knuckles premiered on Paramount+ in 2024 and received positive reviews, specifically for being able to attract family and kids. Three short films focusing on ‘Sonic’ have also been released between 2020 and 2024. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is additionally trending as the entire cast for the sequel has been officially revealed.
