Amar Kaushik reveals he had cast Shraddha Kapoor in Stree owing to her unique laugh
Stree director, Amar Kaushik recently sat down for an interview with Komal Nahta and discussed his experience making the blockbuster, horror-comedy franchise. During his conversation, he shared how he decided to cast Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role of ‘Stree’s’ daughter. Amar Kaushik mentioned that the credit for choosing Shraddha goes to the film’s producer, Dinesh Vijan, who told her she laughs like a chaudail. In his words:
“Shraddha ki casting (credit) puri ki puri Dinesh Vijan ko jaati hai. Woh Shraddha ke saath kisi flight mein aa rahe the, aur flight mein who unko mili thi. Toh unhone bola, Amar woh jab hasti hai na toh ekdum Stree ki tarah, ekdum chudail ki tarah hasti hai.”
