Season 4 of Sullivan’s Crossing was released on April 20, 2026 (ET), and it came with a twist fans did not expect. The show was missing one notable character, leaving viewers a bit dismayed. According to reports, it was Scott Patterson who said goodbye to his role as ‘Sully’ in the much-loved series, raising questions about why the actor decided to bring the journey to an end despite its success.
Why did ‘Sully’ leave Sullivan’s Crossing?
Sullivan’s Crossing has returned for Season 4. However, prior to the premiere, which hits the CW on April 20, 2026, showrunner, Roma Roth announced that Scott Patterson, who plays the role of ‘Harry “Sully” Sullivan’ for the first three seasons, would not be returning. She told PEOPLE in March 2026 that the departure was related to ‘Sully’s’ storyline. However, Patterson quickly offered his own explanation and wrote on Facebook that their “creative differences were becoming untenable and I just sadly realised that the show was not something that I could agree to continue.”
