CBI submits closure report on Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, rules out foul play
On March 22, 2025, the CBI submitted its closure report to a special court in Mumbai. The agency confirmed there was no evidence to suggest that anyone instigated Sushant to die by suicide, marking an end to the investigation. According to various sources, the closure report mainly covers two cases, one filed by Sushant’s family against his then-girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, and another by Rhea against Sushant’s sisters for allegedly arranging a fraudulent prescription for him. After thorough investigations, including expert analysis from AIIMS forensic teams, the CBI found no basis for any criminal conspiracy.
