KVN Productions and Thespian Films have released the first-look posters for the upcoming film Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in the leading roles, marking a new collaboration between the two actors after 18 years. They last featured together in Tashan, which was released in 2008.
The promotional material establishes a specific tone for the thriller, which the makers describe as “steeped in mystery, menace and unrelenting tension.” The initial promotional copy released alongside the posters frames the project as “dark. intense. unsettling. the first look of Haiwaan is finally here.”
The film is directed by Priyadarshan, known for his extensive filmography across multiple genres. According to the production notes, Haiwaan represents a shift into a more psychological space, offering a chilling glimpse into Priyadarshan’s dark and thrilling world.”
Apart from Akshay and Saif, the project features an ensemble cast. Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher, and Shriya Pilgaonkar have been cast in pivotal supporting roles to round out the primary lineup.
Haiwaan is produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn. The project is a joint venture between the production banners KVN Productions and Thespian Films. The makers have finalized the distribution schedule for the film, locking in a late-third-quarter release window. Haiwaan is scheduled to release theatrically on September 11, 2026. Further details regarding the plot line, teaser trailers, and music launch are expected to be revealed by the production houses in the coming months leading up to the release.
On the work front, Akshay was last seen in the ensemble comedy film Welcome To The Jungle directed by Ahmed Khan. Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan was seen in the film Kartavya which released on OTT & was directed by Pulkit.
