Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated movie, The Odyssey, has been grabbing attention ever since it was announced. An adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek epic  Odyssey, Nolan’s movie features a stellar cast, including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya. Nolan and his wife, Emma, produced the film through their production company, Syncopy. It’s up for a worldwide release on July 17, 2026.

While Christopher Nolan began to write the screenplay of The Odyssey in March 2024, he has had the idea for the last 20 years. Speaking to Total Film, Nolan said that the idea of another movie, Troy, which he was about to direct in 2004, never left him.
