Renowned actress, Sophie Turner is back at it again! In case you haven’t caught up with the news yet, Prime Video just dropped the first look at the actress in her ‘Lara Croft’ avatar from the upcoming Tomb Raider series a while ago. Based on the popular video game franchise of the same name, the series was first greenlit in 2024. Reports of Sophie’s involvement in the series first appeared in November of the same year, and ever since then, anticipation for the live-action show has continued to grow. It is worth mentioning that prior to the Game of Thrones actress, Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander had also taken on the role of ‘Lara Croft’ in its film adaptations.
Amazon Prime Video reveals Sophie Turner’s first look as ‘Lara Croft’ for the Tomb Raider series
On January 16, 2026, Prime Video surprised fans by posting a picture of actress, Sophie Turner on their official Instagram account. However, it wasn’t any random picture, but one in which the actress can be seen dressed up like ‘Lara Croft’ for the upcoming Tom Raider series. The image shows Sophie sporting a green tank top and brown shorts. For those who have played the Tom Raider games on PlayStation, they might have already noticed that Sophie’s look draws heavily on the fictional archaeologist’s in-game outfits. To complete the look, the actress also wore a pair of dark sunglasses. Confirming that the show is officially in production, the streamer captioned the post:
“Get your artifacts out. Lara’s on her way…#TombRaider #WardrobeTest.”
