Telugu actor Venkatesh Daggubati and three members of his family have reportedly been booked for the illegal demolition of a hotel.
As per reports, Venkatesh Daggubati and his nephew Rana Daggubati were booked by the Hyderabad Police on Sunday. Rana’s father Suresh and brother Abhiram have also been booked.
They are reportedly connected to the demolition of the Deccan Kitchen Hotel in Hyderabad’s Film Nagar. The case was booked after a local court motioned to file a case against the Daggubatis.
Deccan Kitchen Hotel was reportedly razed in 2024. Nanda Kumar, to whom the property was leased stated that it was demolished despite an injunction pending from the City Civil Court and without orders from the Telangana High Court.
Nanda Kumar reportedly claimed that he lost Rs 20 crore owing to the demolition. He is accused in the alleged poaching of MLAs of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi which is now the Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
