Salman Khan’s action-drama Sikandar is ready to be released on March 30, 2025. Ahead of its release, the AR Murugadoss directorial has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with only minor cuts. According to Bollywood Hungama’s report, Sikandar has secured an approval from the censor board. However, the minor changes suggested need to cleared.
The censor certificate shows that the movie is 150.08 minutes or 2 hours 30 minutes and 8 seconds long. Previously, director Murugadoss had noted that the movie’s runtime was kept at 2 hours and 20 minutes.

While the plot of the movie has been kept under wraps, Salman Khan will be shown in an entertaining action avatar. Alongside Salman, the film’s cast includes Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi and Prateik Babbar.
Drawing comparisons with Ghajini, AR Murugadoss had previously noted, “Ghajini was about a boyfriend-girlfriend love story, but this is about a husband-wife relationship. It explores how families function today, how couples treat each other, and what we might be missing in our relationships. That will be the highlight of the film. Though Ghajini seemed to be a psycho thriller to the audience, the love story of Aamir and Asin was the surprise element. Similarly, here there’s an element of love which will move the audience.”
During Sikandar’s trailer launch, Salman Khan showed that he is confidence about the movie. He said, “Eid, Diwali, New Year, festive, non-festive, it’s the love of the people and picture achi ho ya buri ho, wo sau (Rs 100 crores) toh paar kar hee dete hain.”
