The true-crime story behind The Dating App Killer: The Monica White Story is once again drawing attention to Anthony Eugene Robinson, the man known as the ‘Shopping Cart Killer.’ Robinson was convicted of murdering two women in Virginia and is now serving life in prison.
The renewed interest comes after the Lifetime movie, which dramatizes the experience of Monica White, a woman who dated Robinson months before his 2021 arrest. The film stars Lela Rochon as White and Jarod Joseph as Robinson.
